Save The Date For Screenagers
On February 22, PCK will host a special showing of the documentary film Screenagers – Growing Up In The Digital Age. This critically acclaimed film explores the impact of technology and personal devices on children. The movie was directed by a Seattle doctor and filmmaker who uses her own experience with her children as a basis for the story. The movie will start at 6:30 at PCK. Watch for more details coming soon.
Calling Parent Travelers
PCK is excited to have a new middle school elective called Around the World. Students in this elective will “travel the world” by exploring the cultures of different countries. This semester, they have selected these countries:
North America – Honduras, Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, and Costa Rica
South America – Brazil, Argentina, and Venezuela
Africa – Madagascar, Egypt, and Kenya
Europe – France, England, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Greece, Scandinavia, Germany, Hungary, and Czech Republic
Asia – India, China, Russia, Japan, Philippines, and Thailand
Guest speakers will provide personal experiences and insight into these countries’ cultures. They will be given information about what can/can not be included, and presentations can vary from 15-50 minutes. If you have a connection to any of these countries and would like to be a guest speaker in this class, please contact Mrs. Thompson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
