From The Director
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” – President John F. Kennedy
I am so proud to be an American, and I love that every year on November 11th we have the opportunity to remember and honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who have fought and sacrificed to maintain and preserve the freedoms we enjoy here in America. Veteran’s Day is an important day to pay tribute to those who chose (and choose) to serve our great country, and I want all PCK students to understand the significance of the day, as well as the magnitude of our veterans’ sacrifice. Our annual Veteran’s Day assembly is just one way we can honor those who have served and those who continue to serve in all branches of the U.S. military.
PCK families with attending veterans are welcome to join us for tomorrow’s assembly at 8:30 a.m. in the events gym (original gym). We will recognize both the veterans and their family members during our assembly. All veterans and special guests are also invited to join us at 8 a.m. for a light continental breakfast and a time of visitation prior to the assembly. Parking will be available for all visitors.
We kindly ask all who plan to attend tomorrow’s assembly to please RSVP to Dianne Daniels at ddaniels@ckcs.net, and don’t forget to wear your red, white, and blue!
Looking forward to a special time with our veterans tomorrow.
Mrs. Aplin
