FROM the DIRECTOR
TWO QUICK ITEMS:
Don’t miss your chance to let us hear from you!
The 2017 Annual Parent Survey is now open, and the PCK SAC is looking forward to receiving your feedback. The link below will allow you to access this year’s survey, which will remain open for the next two weeks. Once the survey closes, PCK SAC members will review all the data, summarize the findings, and I will present the results to the PCK staff and Board. Surveys data is extremely important to us…really! We read every comment submitted, looking for common threads in the data. Our ultimate goal is to evaluate the programs, policies, services, and staffing that support PCK’s overall operation each year. We cannot do that without your constructive feedback. This year’s survey contains less than 20 questions, and should take approximately 15 minutes to compete. If you cannot complete the survey today, please pencil it into your calendar soon…we want to hear from all PCK families. Thank you, in advance, for helping us better serve our students and families.
Save the date, April 12th at 6 p.m., and join other PCK parents and community members for an engaging presentation by Dan Shaller about Senate Bill 61. Dan is the Director of Governmental Affairs at the Colorado League of Charter Schools, and the key speaker at the STAND UP FOR OUR CHILDREN event held in the PCK middle school commons. Dan directs the League’s governmental affairs efforts, and advocates for high-quality charter public schools across Colorado. This event is open to anyone interested in learning the FACTS about charter schools in Colorado, specifically how charters are funded and why funding equity is so important to us. I will speak at the PCK event about the importance of public funding, including mill levy override funds, to maintaining quality programs and staffing within our schools. I hope you will join us on April 12th at 6 p.m. so that you are prepared to help us spread the facts within our community.
If you cannot attend the PCK event on April 12th, there will be a second event in Castle Rock on April 26th, 6 p.m., at the Phillip S. Miller public library.
